macOS files are not digitally signed, so you will encounter the error popup "MightyGrep is damaged and can't be opened". Here are three solutions to that error:

1. right click / control click on app icon > open
2. open Terminal > sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "path to .dmg here"
